Central and Southern Arkansas are home to many beautiful towns, including Sheridan, Little Rock, and Arkadelphia. Sheridan is located in Grant County, 30 miles south of Little Rock via U.S. 167. The community is somewhat a rarity in that it is a Southern town named for a Union general – General Phillip Sheridan. Little Rock is the largest city in Arkansas and is the state capital. It is located in Pulaski County and is part of the Little Rock–North Little Rock–Conway Metropolitan Statistical Area. Little Rock is home to many attractions, including the William J. Clinton Presidential Library and Museum, the Little Rock Zoo, and the Arkansas Arts Center. It is also home to the Arkansas River Trail, which is a 17-mile loop that runs through Little Rock and North Little Rock. The trail is perfect for walking, running, or biking and offers beautiful views of the Arkansas River2.
Arkadelphia is located in Clark County and is home to Henderson State University and Ouachita Baptist University. The city is also home to many attractions, including the Arkadelphia Aquatic Park, the Arkadelphia Arts Center, and the Arkadelphia Regional Economic Development Alliance. The city is also home to many parks, including Feaster Park, which is a 40-acre park that features a playground, picnic areas, and a walking trail
